First off, that is hardly a valid comparison. Whites dressed in blackface in minstrel shows to stereotype and make fun of black people. Men dress in drag in drag shows to poke fun at themselves and the manner in which gender constructs forbid things like dresses and makeup for men.

They’re both born a specific race or gender, and they both said they wanted to be a different race or gender. Why is switching gender accepted, but switching race not? Or are you being bigoted towards transracial individuals? I don’t see any other reason why she can’t be accepted as black if we can also accept a man as a woman.

Your second paragraph shows you have absolutely zero idea what being trans actually is (hint: sex != gender), and are instead substituting your own ideas in order to shoehorn them into this ignorant “if someone can be transgender then this person can change race” narrative. Race is about a lot of different factors including how others view you because of your race and a white woman can never experience what it means to be black, no matter how much she identifies with black people. Not to mention her own “I identify as black... unless I’m suing a historically black college. Then it behooves me to identify as white. And I will!” song and dance.

Also, “transracial” as you’re using it is not a thing. Transracial is used by children who were adopted by someone of a different race.

Hope that cleared things up a bit. If not, please learn a bit more about trans people before attempting this argument again.

Well, I’m going to answer some of your questions seriously, as opposed to snarkily:

Firstly, Caitlyn Jenner has publicly come forward as Caitlyn, so you should refer to her as such now, not as Bruce. Also, the proper pronouns are “she,” “her” and “hers,” not “he,” “him” or “his.” Even if you don’t support trans rights, politeness costs you nothing extra.

Secondly, I am not the IOC. That’s up to them. Regardless of their decision, Caitlyn’s accomplishments are still damn impressive. Don’t dismiss them just because you don’t like her identity as a transwoman.

Thirdly, Caitlyn is not married to Kris. They’ve been separated since 2013 and the divorce was finalized in March of this year. A simple google search would have told you that. But, regardless of that, Caitlyn’s gender identity has absolutely no bearing on any of her partners’ sexual preferences. If Kris identifies as a straight woman, she’s a straight woman. That just goes to show how little you understand gender identity and sexual identity. Like race, these things aren’t choices, they simply are . You can’t decide to be a man or a woman, or black or white, or gay or straight the way you decide what to have for breakfast every morning, or which shoes to wear.

If you’d put down your dismissive, self-righteous superiority for just a second, you could “enlighten” your self and look some of this shit up. Educate yourself.

If you want to be a cat, go for it. Your identity is your own, and identity is complex, even if it sometimes seems not to be so. Others may perceive you otherwise, and choose to ignore your requests in an effort to hurt you (or protect themselves from their own uncertainty), but you can do as you like. I hope people respect your choice.

HOWEVER: If you simply choose to take naps and be an asshole all day, without bearing the other burdens of being a cat (like pooping in a box, not owning property, choosing between a wild life with less security versus a kept life with little freedom and more security), especially if you choose to do so in an effort to gain advantage, then you are already the asshole. You can call yourself a cat, but when you buy a house or hold a credit card, folks are gonna call you out on it.
